We're continuing to finalize recommendations for our out-of-town guests! If you have specific travel questions, please reach out to the bride or groom.

Travel Note

Driving to Trinidad

The easiest way to reach Humboldt is by car! Trinidad is about a 6 hour drive from the Bay Area via US-101 North. Making this drive together has been a great part of Owen and Kate's relationship. Along the way, you will enjoy the picturesque redwoods of Mendocino County! Convenient stops along your road trip: - Big John's in Healdsburg - Schat's in Ukiah -Vichi Springs Ukiah (if you want to make a full day of it) -Richardson Grove State Park

Flight

Arcata Airport (ACV)

Our nearest airport is ACV (20 minutes away). ACV has been dubbed "the foggiest airport in the world," and flights are very frequently delayed or cancelled. United offers direct flights to ACV from SFO, LAX, and DEN. Flights to Provo and Seattle will begin in 2026. Please be aware that the event "Rumble over the Redwoods" will likely be happening during the wedding weekend at the airport, leading to potential runway closures. If you plan to fly, please arrive a day or two early. We would hate to miss you at the wedding because of flight delays!

House Or Rental

Trinidad Retreats

Trinidad, CA 95570

We recommend staying in Trinidad if possible, and Trinidad Retreats offers many beautiful homes that are conveniently located near the venue. A wedding shuttle will be provided from Murphy's market, within walking distance of many of these rentals. We have placed a hold on many of these homes to ensure their availability for the wedding weekend. When you are ready to officially book, please reach out to Jonna Kitchen at 707-601-6645.
