Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kate McLeod and Owen Morehead
We hope you will have time to extend your visit to Humboldt County! Here are a few of our favorite activities and places to eat.

Beachcomber Cafe

363 Trinity Street, Trinidad, CA 95570

The Beachcomber has delicious coffee, pastries, and breakfast! Kate and Owen first met at Trinidad Elementary school, right across the street. Maid of Honor, Julia, works here over the summer. Make sure to grab a latte or scone here before you head out for a hike in Trinidad.

Trinidad Head Trail

925 Lighthouse Road, Trinidad, CA 95570

Beautiful views of Trinidad Bay - about 45 minutes round trip if you start walking from Trinidad School.

Sue-meg State Park

4150 Patricks Point Drive, Trinidad, CA 95570

Although the Rim trail and Wedding Rock are beautiful, the highlight of the park is Agate Beach. When Kate and Owen first started dating during the pandemic, they spent many afternoons looking for agates here. For best agate hunting, go near low tide.

Houda Point Beach/Camel Rock

Scenic Drive, Trinidad, CA 95570

Scenic drive connects Trinidad to the US-101 in Westhaven. Drive along to watch the sunset, and hike down to the beach at Camel Rock. The McLeod and Morehead families have all spent many beautiful afternoons in the ocean here!

Moonstone Beach

Westhaven-Moonstone, CA 95570

Moonstone Beach holds countless memories for us. Please take a walk or enjoy a beach day here!

Los Bagels

1061 I Street, Arcata, CA 95521

A trip to Humboldt is not complete without Los Bagels! Kate's favorite has always been the veggie delight (add Larrupin sauce), but Owen prefers the guac & lox.

Arcata Plaza Farmers' Market

8th Street, Arcata, CA 95521

Enjoy some local produce before the wedding ceremony! Happens Saturday morning from 9am-2pm on the Plaza.

Sushi Spot Arcata

670 9th Street, Arcata, CA 95521

Great for dinner on the Plaza!

Arcata Community Forest

Arcata, CA 95521

Beautiful hiking trails & convenient access to the redwoods right in town.
