Things To Do

Check out some Treasure Valley icons and landmarks if you have some extra time to spare while you are in the area.

Explore Hyde Park

1413-1620 North 13th Street, Boise, ID 83702

Great eats, local shopping (especially at Hyde & Seek which is McKenna's favorite), and you don't want to miss out on the Chai latte at Certified Bakery! A weekend staple in our routine.

Walk the Greenbelt

Boise, ID

The 29-mile tree-lined pathway follows the north and south sides of the Boise River through the city and provides scenic views, wildlife habitat and pedestrian access to many of Boise’s popular riverside parks. One of our top favorite things to do when the weather is forgiving!

Float the Boise River

4049 South Eckert Road, Boise, ID 83716

This is definitely a fun Boise experience! Every year over 125,000 people enjoy a float-at-your-own-risk experience down the Boise River, floaters put in at Barber Park and take out at Ann Morrison Park. The park has a raft and tube rental and a shuttle bus service too! The float takes approximately 2-3 hours (about 6 miles).

Zoo Boise

355 Julia Davis Drive, Boise, ID 83702

A great way to kill some time--especially if you have kiddos!

Explore 8th Street North

8th Street North, Boise, ID 83702

A variety of food and drink options with local shops in the heart of downtown Boise. Our favorites are: breakfast at Moon's Cafe or Tupelo Honey, happy hour at Acero, and late night 'za at Pie Hole.

The Village at Meridian

3597 East Monarch Sky Lane, Meridian, ID 83646

A gorgeous outdoor shopping center in Meridian.

Hike Table Rock

2421 Old Penitentiary Rd, Boise, ID 83712

This hike will definitely be a hot and sweaty workout, but the views of Boise are worth it. It is about a 4-mile hike round trip!

Boise Trolley Tours

1800 West Fairview Avenue, Boise, ID 83702

Something to do if you are more interested in learning the history of Boise (specifically McKenna's aunts from Iowa).
