Travel Note
Ferries to Orcas Island depart from the San Juan Ferry Terminal in Anacortes, WA. If you are traveling from Tacoma, please plan for your drive to take approximately two hours. Ferries along the Anacortes-Orcas Island route run regularly, beginning early in the morning and into the evening. The final ferry from the island back to the mainland departs around 10:00 PM. As weekend travel to the San Juan Islands is very popular during the summer months, we strongly encourage all guests to make ferry reservations ahead of time. Additionally, as fares can exceed $50/vehicle depending on the number of passengers, we suggest that guests try to carpool to the island when appropriate. Please visit the WSDOT website for more travel information and make your ferry reservations. Please note that you must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure to claim a reservation.
