The Kirkwood farmers' market is one of our absolute favorite places to spend time and money. This charming all-seasons market offers tons of fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, specialty foods from local vendors, home & kitchen decor, plants, and so much more. Beyond the market, Kirkwood is a highly walkable neighborhood featuring tons of restaurants, boutiques and gift shops.
The City Museum is one of STL's most unique and unforgettable attractions, a one-of-a-kind, all-ages playground. Housed in an old shoe factory & warehouse, it's filled with creatively repurposed architectural pieces, tunnels, slides, climbing structures and hidden passages that make it feel like an interactive work of art and is sure to tire out the kids.
The iconic Gateway Arch is the tallest monument in the U.S. and one of STL's most recognizable landmarks. Guests can ride to the top for panoramic views of downtown and the riverfront, but we don't recommend it if you're claustrophobic or afraid of heights ;) There's also a museum built into the underground visitor center!
A five minute walk from the Wildwood Hotel, this neighborhood staple is where Julia worked her first job as a hostess, and it remains a timeless family favorite for delicious Mexican food and margs - we recommend the handmade topshelf with a tajin rim!
