Question
Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code will be semi-formal attire for the ceremony & reception. For women, midi or maxi dresses or elegant jumpsuits are perfect. For men, please wear a fitted suit with a dress shirt and optional tie or bow tie.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
In St. Louis, average temperatures in August range from a nighttime low of 69° to an afternoon high of 88°. It's typically hot and humid during the day.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Since it's likely to be hot, plan A is an indoor ceremony (three cheers for air conditioning!) If the weather decides to cooperate, plan B is an outdoor ceremony.

What time should I arrive?
Answer
Please aim to arrive at Silver Oaks by 3:45 PM at the latest. Our ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM. We recommend scheduling an Uber ahead of time or making carpool arrangements if you won't be driving to the venue.

Is there parking available at the venue?
Answer
Yes, there is plenty of parking at Silver Oaks. We will have until 12:00 PM on Sunday to retrieve any cars that are left overnight.

Is there a late night shuttle?
Answer
YES! A shuttle will make round trips from Silver Oaks back to the Wildwood Hotel from 10:00 PM until 3:00 AM.

Will I be able to call an Uber from the venue at the end of the night?
Answer
Unfortunately, this may be unlikely. One of the reasons Silver Oaks is such a beautiful venue is that it's far from the city, and there will be limited Uber availability late at night in the area. We recommend designating sober drivers or taking advantage of the shuttle back to the hotel to avoid any unpleasant encounters with local police. ;) Top options for cab service include Chesterfield Taxi & Car Service, St. Charles Yellow Cab, Laclede Cab, and Green Light Taxi Services.
