We’re getting married!

After nine years living in the same house, Katie never met the neighbors across the street. On a hot June day, those neighbors and their friends were hosting a front-yard barbeque—DJ among the crowd. Katie arrived home at the same time, stepping out of the car wearing a pink chiffon dress and boots. A friend’s mom forced DJ to introduce himself. The rest is history.

Took him long enough! DJ and Katie started dating July 1, 2013. The pair dated throughout college and moved into the same apartment once DJ graduated. The day before the couple moved to Fort Worth, Texas, DJ set up an elaborate plan to propose to Katie at a winery. Katie’s best friend Piper made sure the bride to-be had freshly manicured hands. Her other best friend, Shelby, made sure Katie made a trip to the winery. DJ set up a photographer to capture the moment Katie said yes!
