Tips for Guests

Rideshare options are limited. You might find an Uber, Lyft, or local cab, but don’t depend on it. Parking is generally easy around Nevada City and Grass Valley - unless there’s a big event downtown.

Buttermilk Bend Trail

A scenic 1.2-mile trail that winds along the South Yuba River. Especially breathtaking in spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom.

49er Bridge

Historic bridge offering picturesque views and access to the Yuba River - popular for hiking and riverside strolls. Stop at the Townsend family residence and say hello on your way!

Scotts Flat Reservoir

A peaceful lake for boating, fishing, swimming, or a relaxing picnic.

One of our favorite Italian restaurants in town - super warm ambiance and delicious food. Try the bloody mary!

Sopa Thai Cuisine

A gem for bold, authentic Thai dishes in a casual, welcoming setting. Best outdoor patio in town. Jack's rule: you can't go without getting the Panang curry.

Our favorite breakfast/brunch joint. Lots of vegan-friendly options.
