Registry & FAQs

Question

Where is your registry?

Answer

Back in October, we combined homes and we are still feeling overwhelmed with 'things'! So we do not have a traditional registry set up to bring more things into our lives. Most of you will be traveling to our wedding and we truly believe that your presence is the best gift you can give. If you feel compelled to give a gift we would love for you to make a donation to the New Hampshire or Washington ACLU in our name. Supporting a democratic and free society would be a wonderful way to support our marriage at this moment in time. Alternately, if you have artistic inspiration to create a gift, card, or other creative endeavor to celebrate this moment we would cherish your gift. We will have a table to drop of cards at the wedding ceremony. ACLU NH: https://www.aclu-nh.org ACLU WA: https://www.aclu-wa.org

Question

Why are kids in limited attendance during the reception?

Answer

There is a 200 person limit for the covered pavilion where the reception will take place. So, while we would love to have whole families in attendance, limiting the number of kids during this specific event was the most effective way to meet the headcount limit of the space but still have an inclusive weekend.

Question

What can I do with my kids during the reception?

Answer

We can provide childcare support in three ways: (1) We have rented a house which is a 1 minute drive (1/2 mile) down the road from the reception venue and are planning to make childcare available there with a local sitter. If you are interested in this option, please let us know. (2) If you are interested in hiring local childcare and you have your own Airbnb, we can put you in touch with some local babysitters; (3) for kids that are old enough not to require childcare, please confirm a plan with us to get them a shuttle ride home

Question

What will we do if it rains on the day of the ceremony?

Answer

If it is raining or highly likely to rain on the day of, we will move the ceremony and happy hour to the covered pavilion, which has a headcount limitation of 200. This means that we will need to also limit the attendance for the ceremony and happy hour to adults only. We send a message on the morning of if this should happen, so plans can be arranged.
