For the welcome party we encourage fun festive hawaiian attire! But also feel free to wear florals all weekend long. Wedding night is semi formal/dressy casual which really just means look good but be comfortable. Men can come in button up and slacks, dare I say linen? (be careful it wrinkles). Jacket and tie optional. Women wear your favorite dress (any length or style). The ceremony will be on grass and reception is also outside. But there will be a dance floor so feel free to wear heels or flats and just plan to go barefoot through the night!
Due to covid restrictions all bars and restaurants are at 50% capacity. They are only taking reservations for groups of 8 or less. We recommend booking lunch and dinner reservations for "off time". On our last visit it was "easy" to walk in/wait to be seated at most restaurants near the hotel, but that was traveling with just the two of us. We hope for loosened restrictions come February but would still caution preparation for meal times!
We highly recommend making the most of your travel and spending a few extra days in this gorgeous paradise. Our festivities last through Super Bowl Sunday (Pool Party) and keep in mind Monday is Valentines Day <3.
Kiddos are more than welcome to join us for the festivities! Although if they do come along we request arranging childcare for the reception/ceremony event. Steph has researched the best childcare on the island and can help recommend the service that will come directly to the hotel.
First, MAKE SURE you are going to the "The Westin Maui Resort Spa, Kaanapali" NOT the villas (easy mistake to make, but they are about a mile from each-other). For transit, there are lots options! 1. Rent a car - the car rentals need to be made well in advance,! We recommend this if you are planning an extended stay in Maui. Otherwise, all wedding activities start and end at the Westin- Maui Ka'anapali, so if you can get there you won't need a car. 2. Uber Ubers ARE available from the airport, but availability is sometimes limited. expect to pay between $70-$100 to get to Ka'anapali. 3. Taxis are located fronting the baggage claim area! Estimated prices here: https://airports.hawaii.gov/ogg/getting-to-from/ground-transportation/taxicab/ 4. Shuttle service lots of options for pre-booked shuttles but prices are similar to other options. https://www.mauiairporttaxi-shuttles.com https://www.speedishuttle.com
