I would recommend booking your hotel and flight about 50 days out from the wedding. 50 days out is usually when fights are the best price and gives time to monitor the situation with Covid. Airlines have out in many safety measures due to covid that has made air travel safe.
The Atlanta area does have Uber, Lyft and public transportation but it will be more realistic for guests to rent cars as most of the city is geared towards driving. Consider going in with other guests for a car if that is a concern!
