The year was 2017, Victoria was BUSY with 7+ jobs, one of which was an inpatient mental hospital. Jacob was living the life of a drummer, rockstar and surviving through internship at the same place. Victoria was his trainer, as some might say, having to oversee his work and sign off on his notes. All the while in the back of her mind, a bit intrigued by this long-haired, sweet man who made her heart beat faster every time he walked in the room. Jacob was drawn to Victoria's confidence and vocalness about her love of the Lord. This unknown attraction would lead to an exchange of small smiles down the long hallway. Cheezy, but totally real, Victoria had to carefully walk down the stairs as he opened the door so she wouldn't fall due to nervousness. Yet, despite a year of subtle flirting, nothing came of it. So Jacob completed his internship, graduated, while Victoria finally started to make room in her life to be less busy. Fast forward to, September 12th, 2018, Jacob was browsing Bumble, a dating app for 20+ something professionals, and suddenly saw Victoria's profile flash across the screen. Only then he drop his phone out of shock...this was his chance. Once swiping right, to his relief, they matched. Yet, he had to wait for Victoria to reach out first, as was Bumble's user rules. Meanwhile, Victoria was on her way to church and got notified of the match only to freak out as well. Frantically, she called a mutual colleague and her colleague replied "just message him!" After exchanging a few messages, Jacob asked her on a date that next Friday. Nerves were high as they shared their first date at V's favorite restaurant El Taco with server Ryan. Claiming to be observant, they shut down the restaurant without realizing it. Since then multiple dates, adventures, anniversaries to now marriage! Funny enough, every celebration or anniversary they returned to El Taco only to have their server Ryan over and over! So here's to more El Taco dates and a life time of love!
