You can find the most updated information about our wedding weekend on this website! And yes, we will update it regularly, so check back in for more information!
First-- that they're AWESOME. Second-- that our Jewish wedding will include lots of fun Jewish customs, including that a rabbi will marry us under a chuppah, we'll recite various blessings, smash a glass, say "mazal tov!," dance the hora (a circle dance), lift the married couple up on chairs, and lots more. Feel free to read up about Jewish wedding customs, and let us know if you have any specific questions!
From the Kansas City International Airport, you should be able to get an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to take you to the hotel! The same goes for if you are traveling from Kansas City. If you are trying to travel around Excelsior Springs/the rural area around The Elms, getting an Uber, Lyft, or taxi might be harder!
Ubers, Lyfts, and taxis are not widely available around The Elms, so we will provide a shuttle on Monday morning (Sep. 15) that will transport folks back to the airport for their flights home. Details and precise timing of those shuttles TBD-- check back in to the "Travel" tab on this website for updates on that! If you would like to travel around on your own terms, such as easily going into Kansas City or going to the airport at times other than Monday morning, we recommend renting a car at the airport!
Thank you for asking. Yes, Zusha will be invited, however he will likely not attend the actual wedding ceremony and reception. BUT, The Elms is a pet-friendly hotel, so we're planning to have Zusha stay with us in our hotel room. Please bring cat treats if you would like to visit him.
