FAQs

Question

Why Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

Why not? If you know us, you know how much we love to travel. With family and friends spread across the country—and even around the world—we felt it would be most fitting to celebrate somewhere warm, beautiful and by the beach.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Yes, the hotel allows for up to two additional children per bedroom. To offset the cost of accommodations, each child will add an additional 25% to the room rate. When booking your hotel room, book only for the two principal guests and do not add extra guests. Additions can be made later.

Question

Do I have to stay at Playa Fiesta or can I stay at a different hotel in Puerta Vallarta?

Answer

So, what, you think you're better than us? Huh? Huh?? Guests attending the wedding but not staying at Playa Fiesta will be required to pay $124 per person per day in order to enjoy the open bar, plus $25 for each meal. These payments must be made to Playa Fiesta no less than 6 weeks in advance of the event. Please let us know if you will not be staying at the hotel.

Question

Why is this so expensive?

Answer

I'm sorry! I'm sorry! But it is all-inclusive. That means unlimited drink, breakfast and dinner every day. Please come! It'll be great!

Question

Do I have to stay four nights?

Answer

Yes, events are planned for all four days, including the Saturday after the wedding.

Question

Can guests see other nearby attractions during stay?

Answer

Yes! We are near downtown Puerto Vallarta, which has several beaches and restaurants to explore. Additionally, Playa Fiesta can help arrange/recommend guided tours, including zip lining, ATV tours, whale watching, tequila tasting, snorkeling, etc. While we'll have activities at Playa Fiesta during the day that you can join, we highly recommend taking advantage of the local options as well.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! Also, double-check that your passport won’t expire within three months of your travel dates.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?

Answer

Playa Fiesta will accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies. Please let either of us know in the RSVP what your dietary restrictions are so we can communicate them to the staff at Playa Fiesta.

Question

When should I arrive? What time is check out?

Answer

We'll send out a more precise daily schedule closer to March, but we recommend arriving as early as you can on Wednesday, March 24, to get settled in before the welcome dinner. Check-in is officially at 4 p.m., but you may be allowed to check in to your rooms sooner. Everyone will be staying through the weekend and leaving on Sunday, March 28. Check out is 11 a.m. from the rooms and 1 p.m. from the property.

Question

What is local currency and are credit cards widely accepted?

Answer

The local currency is the Peso. Many local businesses will accept USD, and credit cards are widely accepted in major hotels and restaurants. Playa Fiesta only accepts Mastercard and Visa. Be mindful that you may incur international charges depending on your bank or credit card issuer. We recommend checking the exchange rate and bringing some Pesos or USD as cash.

Answer

Mexico has the same electrical outlets as the U.S.

Question

Answer

There are hair dryers in each room at Playa Fiesta.
