Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP using this Google form by June 27th, 2025 COPY AND PASTE FORM INTO YOUR BROWSER: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSccOJ31u7W6i1e_z6yXsloydDdgJhWftLU0RdLrhCV8SgVpug/viewform?usp=sharing

Question

Where is the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place at the Kingshouse Hotel in Glencoe, Scotland. This hotel is quite remote, nestled deep in the Scottish Highlands. A coach bus will be taking all of our guests from Edinburgh to the venue, so you do not have to worry about getting yourself to the Kingshouse. Just make sure you book your hotel rooms at the Kingshouse in advance. The cocktail hour, dinner and reception will also be at the Kingshouse Hotel.

Question

How do I book my rooms for the wedding at Kingshouse Hotel?

Answer

1. Head over to the Kingshouse Hotel Website, COPY AND PASTE THIS LINK INTO YOUR BROWSER: www.kingshousehotel.co.uk/ 2. At the top right-hand corner you'll see a button for "Book Now." 3. Click "Book Now" and enter the dates you'd like to stay for and the number of nights CHECK IN: 10/26 | CHECK OUT: 10/28. 4. Identify how many occupants will be in the room. 5. Enter the promo code WEDD271025 and click check availability. Note a minimum length stay of 2 nights applies to these dates. **MAKE SURE TO ENTER THE PROMO CODE AS IT WILL GIVE YOU THE DISCOUNT AND TAKE YOU TO OUR DEDICATED WEDDING PAGE.**

Question

When should I book my flights and hotel rooms?

Answer

Make sure to book your flights and accommodation sooner rather than later. In August, Edinburgh hosts the massive Fringe Festival, which means that hotels, accommodation and flights are much more expensive as demand skyrockets. Book earlier to avoid Fringe inflation. We recommend flying into Edinburgh the very latest by Friday, October 24th. This will give you about a day to adjust to jetlag, get settled and just breathe before the festivities start with our welcome dinner on Saturday night, October 25th. Make sure to book your accommodation in Edinburgh for Friday and Saturday nights (with a check-out on Sunday morning). On Sunday, we will depart via coach bus for our wedding venue. Please book your rooms for the wedding venue IN ADVANCE for Sunday and Monday nights (see above FAQ). We will be headed back to Edinburgh on Tuesday morning, October 28th. Once we return to Edinburgh, if you are planning to stay longer, make sure to book other accommodation for yourself. Please note that Edinburgh airport is about a 20-30 minute taxi/uber ride from city center.

Question

What should I wear on the wedding day?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is perfect. A tux, gown, suit, jumpsuit or cocktail dress will do just fine! Kilts are also welcome, if you're so inclined.

Question

What is the weather like in Scotland?

Answer

Cold, windy and rainy! Anyone who lives in Scotland will tell you it is not uncommon to experience all four seasons in one day. Make sure to pack clothes that stand-up to the wind and rain, a rain jacket is very helpful. The average October temp in Scotland ranges from 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit but keep in mind it could feel much colder in the rain.

Question

What shoes should I pack?

Answer

For exploring Edinburgh, sneakers or tennis shoes are a must. The streets are literally medieval, which means they are uneven and a bit slippery. Edinburgh is a very walkable city if you have the right shoes and attitude! Wear whatever shoes you desire for the wedding but please keep in mind that weather permitting, our ceremony will be outside on grass/dirt.
