She met him randomly while with friends at Brewery Vivant across from the eyewear shop she used to work. He sent her an email using the business card she gave him. She agreed to dinner. He took her to a Kings of Leon Concert a few weeks later. The next day, she needed a model for an impromptu Valentine's Day Eyewear shoot. He agreed, and nailed it. He's been her main model ever since.

Jet lagged and hungry, Max & LA were settling in at a cozy wine bar aptly named 'Frenchie,' after their first full day in Paris. It was chilly and dark, but the wine lifted their spirits. Just then, a familiar song started playing. It was their all-time favorite song. The sounds of the funky-fresh 90's house band Deee-lite with their best-known hit "Groove Is in the Heart" played softly in the petite brasserie... out of place but perfect, it dawned on them that today was their 3 year anniversary. So they clinked their glasses and felt like they were exactly where they should be in the world. Together.

Mondays are Max & LA's only days off each week, so they often spend it together. This particular day, very early in the morning Max had to be on the local news promoting a valentine's day collaboration with Long Road Distillers and his family's chocolate shop, Mokaya. Leigh Ann joined him for grocery shopping afterward. It was a particularly sunny day for February, so they rolled the windows down. After getting back to the apartment and in the midst of unloading groceries, Max caught Leigh Ann by complete surprise down on one knee. She said yes and they had an extremely unproductive day sipping bubbly and meeting friends at the bar where they first met.
