Come say hi from 8:30-10pm on Guthrie Beach! This is a casual, drop-in style event. The exact address of the beach entrance is 902 Pequot Avenue, and parking will likely be available along the road. There will be some light bites/appetizers and drinks for your enjoyment! Additional parking is available at the Lighthouse Inn (6 W Guthrie Pl, New London, CT 06320). In the event of rain/inclement weather, our backup plan is to meet informally from 8-10pm in the Lighthouse Inn Bar rather than on Guthrie Beach. The two are within very short walking distance.

Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Semi-Formal: You are welcome to wear suits, gowns, or dressy cocktail attire. The reception atmosphere will be a historical mansion with partially outdoor dancing space and gardens. The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) and will require some walking across grassy uneven terrain.
Please arrive by 4:15pm. The ceremony will be outdoors in the park's open-air amphitheatre by the water. An attendant will assist you in parking and directing you to the exact site. We encourage you to bring anything that will make you feel more comfortable (including extra layers or a change of shoes!), and make sure to check the weather for June 8th in Waterford. Please note that Harkness State Park is public, and so there may be people and families enjoying the afternoon. :) There will be a golf cart available to carry any guests who are mobility-impaired to the reception. After the ceremony ends at 5pm, guests are invited to cocktail hour from 5-6pm in the Eolia Mansion (approximately a 3 minute outdoor walk from the ceremony site). Family members will be asked to stay behind at the ceremony site for photos prior to joining guests at cocktail hour. After cocktail hr, there will be a plated dinner and reception. A full schedule with an hour-by-hour breakdown will be sent to guests.

This location is close to the Holiday Inn New London! (no more than a 10 minute walk). There is some public parking on Bank Street, as well as public parking along Eugene O'Neill Drive that can be found on Google Maps.
