Here are some of our favorite places and activities that you should consider if this is your first time in Boston! If you're looking for restaurant recommendations, let us know! We're pretty well versed in the local cuisine-scene.
New England Aquarium
1 Central Wharf, Boston, MA 02110
The Aquarium is the location of one of Sarah and Matt's best dates, when Matt surprised Sarah with a "Meet the Seals" experience.
Boston Harbor Cruise
1 Long Wharf, Boston, MA 02110
There are a few companies that do harbor cruises. These are especially fun to do at sunset! If you're looking for a discount, go to www.goldstar.com/boston.
Freedom Trail
Boston, MA
If you're ambitious, you can do the entire trail, or just pick and choose a few spots! Either way, you'll learn something new about the City of Boston and American History.
Boston Common & Public Gardens
Boston, MA
Sarah and Matt spent many of their earliest dates walking through the Common and Gardens. If you want to extend your walk, continue down Newbury St. for some shopping, or stop by Copley Sq. to see the Boston Public Library.
Charles River Esplanade
Boston, MA
Another great place for a long walk! The esplanade offers up views of the Charles River. If it's a nice day, you'll see sail boats and a good view of Cambridge on the opposite side of the river.
Charles River Canoe and Kayak
15 Broad Canal Way, Cambridge, MA 02142
Kayaking on the Charles is one of Matt and Sarah's favorite summer and fall activities. If you want a good view of the city from the water, you should leave from the Kendall boat launch.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
25 Evans Way, Boston, MA 02115
Sarah's favorite Boston museum. Maybe it's something about the Italianate architecture, or maybe it's the unsolved mystery of the world's largest art heist.
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
465 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115
Matt's favorite Boston museum. Once you're done with Van Gogh and Monet, go check out the MFA's extensive Asia, Africa, and Ancient World collections.
Fenway Park
4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA 02215
The Red Sox season will be over by October, but it's still fun to tour America's oldest Ballpark!
JFK Presidential Library and Museum
Columbia Point, Boston, MA 02125
This museum is host to an array of exhibits related to the Kennedy family, and also offers stunning views of the Boston skyline.
