What time does the wedding start?

Ok but what time should we get there yet not be too early?

Answer

Seating will start at 3pm and you'll be treated to a fun movie themed soundtrack created by Matt to keep you entertained while we get situated. See if you can guess which movie each song is from!

Is there a theme to your wedding?

Answer

Yes! Many of you know we share a mutual love for many movies. We will be incorporating that connection into our wedding throughout the day.

What is the Dress Code?

Semi-Formal or Cocktail Attire

Ok but what does that actually mean?

Answer

For the Ladies: a long evening dress, cocktail length dress or dressy suit with top. For the Gentlemen: dark suit and tie. As for shoes - be comfortable! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the grass and we want you to enjoy the dance floor at the reception so if you don't feel like wearing heels (or feel like kicking them off during the night), that's fine with us!

Any other special attire notes we should know?

Answer

Weather in Maryland can be unpredictable and change quickly. The fall can be either crisp or unpredictably warm during the day and dip drastically at night. You may wish to bring a wrap to keep warm for the outdoor events.

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes we do! We've reserved a block for our guests at Hampton Inn & Suites Frederick - see our accommodations page for more details.

Will there be a shuttle from the hotel where you have a block?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle picking up from the Hampton Inn & Suites Frederick starting at 2:30 and continuing through the end of the night with the last pick up being at the end of the reception at 10pm.

When are RSVPs Due?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 14th using the RSVP section of our wedding website. If you RSVP after the 14th please bring a sandwich and a chair :)

Will parking be available?

Answer

Yes there is ample parking available at the venue and attendants available to help you park in the correct place.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, however we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!

What's to eat (and drink)?

Answer

We will have passed appetizers, an open bar as well as oven-fired pizza followed by candy, donuts, popcorn and cake. There will be plenty to munch on throughout the night!

Will You Have a Photo Booth?

Answer

Yes! But not in the traditional sense! We will have the DeLorean "Time Car" from Back to the Future on site - feel to get your picture taken with the car throughout the night.

Yes! Please let us know what you'd like to hear when you RSVP! We'll do our best to accommodate as we want you to enjoy your time on the dance floor!

Will You Have An Unplugged Ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We kindly ask that you be present with us in the moment when we exchange vows and allow our photographer to capture the beauty of the ceremony for us. We promise to share photos! After the ceremony we'd love for you to capture as many photos as you want and share them using our hashtag #mattjax2thefuture

Will you have a Hashtag we can use to share our photos online?

Yes! Please share any and all photos taken during cocktail hour and the reception using our hashtag #mattjax2thefuture. We can't wait to see the snaps you get!

What if I have a bit too much fun and can’t drive home? Can I leave my car at the venue?

Answer

Yes! We ask that you please be safe and use an UBER or the hotel shuttle to get home safely after the party if you’ve had a few too many of our signature cocktails! The venue is happy for you to keep your cars on property so long as you pick them up by 11am Sunday morning. Please note: the property does not have security
