Our Story

From Dorm Hallways to "I Do"

Like every good rom-com, ours started in a dorm hallway. We became best friends almost instantly—the kind of friends who “just happen” to run errands together, talk until sunrise, and get lost in our own little world while everyone else is walking home from the same party. Somewhere in between quoting Nacho Libre and laughing at each other’s jokes, something more began to spark. There were awkward stages (like a camping trip with friends where Matt looked like he was pulling away but was really just nervous), and there were false starts (I said “no” the first three times Matt asked me out). But, finally, the timing lined up, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We never had a picture-perfect first date. Instead, we built our relationship by weaving our lives together—sharing favorite movies and meals, meeting each other’s families, and showing up for every big and little moment. We’ve weathered semesters abroad, survived chaotic roommates, lived with family, and finally landed in an apartment that’s truly our own. Then came the proposal: Matt forgot his speech, I tried to hug him too soon, and—after being told the ring had to go on first—I squeaked out, “Okay... I’ve never done this before.” (Let’s hope not.) It was perfectly us: a little awkward, a lot of love, and figuring out life for the first time side by side. From late-night dorm walks to this wedding day, our story has always been full of laughter, friendship, and a whole lot of love. And honestly, it feels like we’re still just at the beginning.
