FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by 1st February 2026 - so we are able to make the appropriate accommodations!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is black tie. For men, this means a black blazer, black trousers, a white shirt, and a black bow tie, please avoid colourful suits. Women are kindly asked to wear a floor-length (maxi) dress. As Melbourne weather can be a little unpredictable (think UK vibes!), we recommend bringing an umbrella, just in case.

Question

Can I take my own photographs?

Answer

Yes, you're welcome to take your own photos—just a few important requests: Firstly, please avoid using flash photography at any time. Emilie has epilepsy, and flashes can be a serious trigger. We really appreciate your understanding and care. We kindly ask that no photos be taken inside the church. This allows our photographer to capture natural, candid moments of all our guests without distraction. From outside the church onwards, you’re welcome to snap away! Please also hold off on posting any photos to social media until the Bride and Groom have shared their own. To help us build a digital album of the day from everyone's perspective, we’ll have QR codes linking to a private Instagram site where you can upload your photos. We can’t wait to see the day through your eyes!

Question

Is there travel from the Ceremony to the Reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception venues are just a short walk from each other, so no need to worry about car travel. For guests who may prefer not to walk, there’s a tram that stops right outside the ceremony venue and will take you close to the reception.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we adore your little ones, we're keeping the celebration adults-only, with the exception of a few close family kids who are part of the bridal party. We hope you can join us for a fun night out!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’ve carefully planned our guest list, and if you’ve been given a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation. If not, we hope you understand that we’re keeping things intimate and aren’t able to extend additional invites.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely—please let us know in advance and we’ll coordinate with our caterer to accommodate your needs. Canapés will be clearly labelled and served separately to minimise any risk of cross-contamination. The wedding breakfast will be served as shared plates. To help keep everyone safe, we kindly ask that only the appropriate serving utensils provided are used to avoid cross-contamination. If you have a severe allergy, we also ask that you bring your appropriate EpiPen with you. Emilie is first-aid trained and will be on hand if needed.
