Where we got engaged! Check out this beautiful park! Aside from the observation tower, the park also has trails and beach access (bare in mind that the beach here is limited in size - if you're looking for a beach recommendation, see below). The Lake Erie Bluffs actually has two parking areas. The address above will take you to the observation tower, but you may also want to check out The Lake Erie Bluffs Shelter for another beautiful overlook of Lake Erie (and, of course, more trails).
Our favorite winery in the area. Yes, the wine is incredible, but what really sets it over the top is the outdoor seating space. A must if you're into that sort-of thing! There are over 30 wineries in the Geneva area! Below are a few more of our favorites, but really, the options are endless!
Our favorite beach on Lake Erie is Headlands State Park, which is home to a half-mile-long natural sand beach, the largest in the state. Our suggestion: Park on the east-most (right) side of the beach. You'll see a welcome/information sign as you look towards the beach - go through there! You'll take a lovely stroll across a boardwalk to the sandy beach, and the views are serene! This beach is admittedly a bit of a hike from Windsor, so if you're looking for a closer option, see below.
The closest beach to our venue! In addition to the beach, this state park has some pretty great on-the-water trails!
A nostalgic lakeside strip with arcades, food stands, mini golf, and more. Food-wise, we recommend checking out Eddie's Bar & Grille and the Firehouse Winery.
If you're looking for a classic Northeast Ohio experience, Pickle Bills should be on your list! This unique restaurant sits right on the part of the Grand River that opens up to Lake Erie. By the way, we meant that literally... Pickle Bills has a floating dock ("the barge") attached to the restaurant. Also, check out upstairs! The upstairs patio is our FAVORITE place to go after spending a day at the beach! Disclaimer: We've never actually eaten here, so we can't comment on the food - but this is one of our number one spots for the vibes and the drinks!
Looking for an amazing meal? We can't recommend Noosa enough! This cozy yet upscale restaurant in Mentor offers fresh seafood, creative dishes, and a warm atmosphere. Inspired by the coastal town of Noosa, Australia, it’s a great spot for a relaxed yet memorable dinner during your visit.
Just a short drive from Windsor, the Holden Arboretum offers peaceful trails, stunning gardens, and treetop adventures like the Canopy Walk and Emergent Tower. It’s the perfect spot to relax and reconnect with nature.
