All your questions, answered!
Question

What is the weather like in Vail in September?

Answer

The weather tends to be mild during the day ranging from 70 - 80, and then dropping to 40 - 60 at night. We recommend packing clothes to do outdoor activities as well as a jacket to keep you warm at night! Sunscreen is a must as you burn easier in the mountains!

Question

How will the altitude effect me?

Answer

Altitude effects everyone differently. Some have altitude sickness which gives them stomach and headaches for a day or so, others feel nothing. A few things that will effect basically everyone: you need to drink more water than normal to stay hydrated (this also means that drinking alcohol will get you drunk faster, so be mindful) and you will be out of breath walking around/exercising (be kind to yourself).

Question

Who should I contact if I have a question?

Answer

Please reach out to the Bride's Mom, Stacey Siegel, if you have a question after May 2022 but before August; she can be reached at 214-208-5841. If your question comes up before May, feel free to text the bride at 469-230-0144. For questions during the weekend, please check back for a contact.

Question

How should I get to the hotel?

Answer

We recommend flying into Denver International Airport, though there is also an airport in Eagle Vail. From Denver, check back to learn more about shuttle options closer to our date. We recommend you work with friends/family to rent a car together and drive to the hotel for more flexibility. Parking is discounted to $20/day at the hotel. Check out the "your travel" tab later for more information to come!

Question

Should I take pictures during the wedding?

Answer

We would love you to take pictures during the reception and, once set up, we would love you to add them to the shared album app we will have. You can use our hashtag #MattchedWithLauren. During the ceremony, we ask that you remain unplugged. We have hired a wonderful photographer couple, Doug and Jackie Treiber who will be taking pictures for us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation is addressed to you and your significant other, we would love to have both of you there. Otherwise, we ask that you come on your own and appreciate your understanding.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If your invitation is addressed to "XXX Family" then we want all of you there! We will make it very clear if we are inviting children as well as adults on your invitation. We appreciate the challenges of traveling with little ones as well as leaving them behind; however, for our special day, only a few children will be included. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we have a room block! Check out the "your travel" tab at the top for more information. In addition to the room block, we have other recommendations that you can find listed there as well.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The hotel will have valet parking and there is a parking structure across the street. We expect most guests will stay on property or nearby, so feel free to take a ride share or bus as well. We want to make sure you get "home" safely at the end of the night, so if you plan to drink, please do not drive and arrange for other transportation!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There is a welcome party (Saturday) and a goodbye brunch (Monday) that everyone will be invited to. Check out the full schedule of events for all guests on the "The Weekend" tab.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We ask that for the ceremony and reception everyone wears Cocktail attire. For more information on what to wear to what events, check out the "The Weekend" tab.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! A few places! Our featured gift is “our honeymoon fund” to help us go on the honeymoon of our dreams! Check out the "Registry" tab above.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

When we prepare to send out our formal invitations, we will update this section, so you can check back for more information then!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Once we confirm timing of events, we will update this section. Please check back!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will have plenty of food options that suit everyone's needs. Matt and Lauren are foodies, so there will be no shortage of food (or drink).

Question

Will there be an open bar at the reception?

Answer

Duh. But be careful, altitude hits differently.
