Explore Old Town
You will find the metro at the top of King Street and the waterfront at the bottom. The Old Town trolley is free to ride all day long. Check out the farmer’s market in Market Square on Saturday morning until noon. See the link for Old Town highlights.

Walk around Old Town and find a spot that speaks to you! Many restaurants, especially near the water, tend to book up in the evenings and on weekends. We’d recommend making a reservation if you have a place in mind or be willing to wait for a table. National Portrait Gallery
D.C. is home to 17 Smithsonian museums and this one is a favorite. There is something for everyone and they are all free to the public, including the National Zoo which houses the pandas!
