San Gregorio da Sassola is a small hamlet in the centre of Italy, but that doesn't mean it's a sleepy area! Explore in and around Rome, venture through to Tivoli, and find yourself lost in the Italian countryside before or after our celebration. While we recommend exploring all around, the below covers some of the less usual sites and adventures. Still be sure to check out the Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and more!
Villa d'Este, Tivoli

Villa d'Este, Tivoli

5 Piazza Trento, Tivoli, Lazio 00019, Italy

Genuinely one of the most beautiful villas either of us have seen. Explore the gardens - which use only pressure and gravity, see the stunning frescos from the same artist as Castello Brancaccio, and admire the beautiful statues.

Villa Adriana, Tivoli

Villa Adriana, Tivoli

1 Largo Marguerite Yourcenar, Tivoli, Lazio 00010, Italy

What does a Roman emperor do when the city is too stressful? Go to his villa, of course! Visit the ancient historical UNESCO site filled with ruins, olive groves, and water features on the way to or from Tivoli.

Pommidoro dal 1890 Ristorante, Rome

Pommidoro dal 1890 Ristorante, Rome

44/46 Piazza dei Sanniti, Roma, Lazio 00185, Italy

Enjoy the first recorded carbonara on record at Pommidoro. Featured in Stanley Tucci's "Searching For Italy", this quaint family run business on the east side of Rome is a must-visit for pasta fiends. Be sure to book a reservation through Jotform as they fill up incredibly quickly these days. And we recommend taking a cab there - it's about a 45 minute walk from Trevi, and is not *exactly* the nicest area.

Piazza Navona, Rome

Piazza Navona, Rome

Piazza Navona, Roma, Lazio 00186, Italy

While a simple, beautiful square with historic churches and buildings, it also features some incredible patio dining and people watching. Our favourite? Gelateria Tre Fontane and its neighbouring brasserie make for a perfect accompaniment for a toasty day, overlooking Neptune's Fountain.

Gregory’s Jazz Club, Rome

Gregory’s Jazz Club, Rome

54/a Via Gregoriana, Roma, Lazio 00187, Italy

Enjoy the dulcet tones of jazz in one of Rome's trendiest spots. Gregory's features two phenomenal talents each night, with only a small surcharge on dinner to enjoy the live music. The menu highlights fresh and unique sushi flavours unlike anywhere else. Just don't ask for the recommended grappa - it's a bit... strong?

AirBNB Experiences

AirBNB Experiences

AirBNB Experiences are a great way to see the city, escape the crowds, and have a local's insight on your trip. Koda and I had a private photoshoot for a very affordable price, plus there are ghost tours, private walkthroughs, and more! Simply update your dates and see what is available in Rome or other cities you plan to visit.
