Get to know the island and its rich history at the Whaling Museum. This is where we met and where Katie spent the majority of her life on the island. Yes, you'll see some of it at the wedding, but it's totally worth going again. Check out the programs, learn about scrimshaw, and learn about what put Nantucket on the map.
The only part of the island with a zip code that's not 02554, 'Sconset is a quaint artist cottage town from the 1900s. It's a great place to wander, and if you're especially nosey, find the bluff walk that will take you on a pathway basically through people's backyards. Great views all the way! And Bill Belichick has a home out here!
Matt's favorite side of the island. He used to bike there all the time. In the summer, it has one of our favorite restaurants with the best margarita. In November, it won't be open, but it's still worth heading out to Madaket Beach and enjoying the view. If you're a Mr. Roger's fan, you'll enjoy that he had a house on this part of the island and spent a lot of time there.
This place is awesome, and it's nicknamed the Nantucket Serengeti for a reason! A great place to explore and take photos, and also the place to go if you want to check out some cranberry bogs. Plus, it's on the way to 'Sconset if you're already checking that out.
