Chico Hot Springs Resort & Day Spa

Chico Hot Springs Resort & Day Spa

163 Chico Road, Pray, MT 59065

One of our favorite things to do at Chico is soaking first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee as the sun comes up over Emigrant Peak, then hitting the amazing breakfast buffet in the Chico Dining Room (don't miss the bacon) and reservations are not required for breakfast. To help you enjoy the pools to the max, we recommend bringing the following items: a non-glass water bottle to use while soaking, a good waterproof e-reader or a book you don't mind getting a little wet, a second swimsuit for use while the first one dries out, a bathrobe (or other warm clothing) for walking to and from the pool, waterproof sandals, and a bag for toting items to and from the pool. Paradise Valley is stunning and Chico has several hiking and walking paths on the property to enjoy the amazing views. We highly recommend taking the big stairs near the parking lot up to the Field of Dreams! Property maps are available at the front desk.

North Entrance of Yellowstone Park - Gardner, MT

North Entrance Road, WY

Head to Gardner, Montana to enter the park through the famous Teddy Roosevelt Gate. Once inside the park you can head west to Mammoth Hot Springs, East to the Lamar Valley where you may pass by some Wolf Watchers setting up observation posts on the way to Cooke City and the Beartooth Highway, or head south into the park towards Old Faithful. Keep a lookout while in the canyons as you approach the park for Big Horn Sheep and Elk roaming around Gardner and the visitor center at Mammoth Hot Springs.

Bozeman

Bozeman, MT

Have some time in Bozeman before or after your flight? Check out the historic downtown full of great restaurants, breweries and unique shops.

Dan Bailey's Fly Shop & Downtown Livingston

209 West Park Street, Livingston, MT 59047

Kind of a nerd-alert from Matt: One of the most famous fly shops in all of Montana is in Livingston's historic and charming downtown. In the back of the shop there is a frame display of some of George Croonenberghs's hand-tied flies - made famous in Norman Maclean's A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT.

Museum of the Rockies

600 West Kagy Boulevard, Bozeman, MT 59717

One of the best Dinosaur Museums in the World - a great place to check out if you have a few hours in Bozeman before heading to Paradise Valley or burning time before catching your flight.
