Accommodations

Oregon has truly become a special place in our hearts, and we’re so excited to share it with the people we care about most as we begin this next chapter together. We know that traveling here means a significant trip for many of you, and we totally understand the challenges that distance can bring. That’s why we wanted to get this information to you as early as possible, hoping it helps make planning a little easier. We’ll be looking for ways to continue updating this site with helpful details to make your visit as smooth as possible. If you have any questions about the area, travel plans, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help as best we can! We truly hope to see as many of you as possible, and for those who can, we encourage you to extend your stay and soak in all the beauty this part of the country has to offer.

Flight

PDX (Portland, Oregon)

The closest major airport is Portland International (PDX), just about 20 minutes from downtown Portland. From the airport, you’ll enjoy a scenic 55-minute drive along the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge to reach Hood River.

Travel Note

Ground Transportation

While a rental car is certainly the easiest method of transportation, it is possible to get to Hood River from PDX via public transportation. Portland's MAX tram (part of the TriMet transit network) picks up at the airport ground level near baggage claim. With departure times of roughly every 15min, you can take a ~20min ride to the "Gateway Transit Center". This is a pick up location for the CAT bus which ends at Hood River. The CAT bus is independent of TriMet and therefore requires a separate fare. Please click "View" below for more information on this. ***Important: There are no ride shares that drive to/from/in Hood River, White Salmon, or Trout Lake. *** (We've heard you may be able to get dropped off in Hood River, but certainly not picked up. We will update if local law changes prior to the event) Here are a few local taxi company contacts: Gorge Taxi (541) 399-5060 https://gorgetaxi.com/ Hood River Pedicab (541) 714-3130 https://hoodriverpedicab.com/ Gorge PDX Shuttle (541) 800-2028 https://www.gorgepdxshuttle.com/ Note: Local taxi service can be very limited during these peak times

Travel Note

Hotel Availability

Accommodation in the Gorge can be limited and get expensive as we get closer to the event. We recommend guests begin to plan their lodging as soon as possible for the best availability and rates. Hotel blocks are not offered in Hood River during this time of year, being a popular destination for tourism as well as weddings. As such, we have listed some recommendations below. Please note that some locations will release availability periodically and may have openings later on even if they currently show no availability. Most hotel and rentals offer free cancelation. We encourage folks to search around as desired to see what best suits them. We also recommend staying closer to Downtown Hood River near the time of the event for greater access to the shuttle, mentioned further down on this page.

Shuttle

Shuttle To and From Venue

July 5, 2026 2:45 pm - 10:00 pm

The venue is located less than a 10-minute drive from downtown Hood River and has plenty of parking to accommodate all our guests. That said, our top priority is for everyone to have a great time without worrying about getting to and from the venue. Since there are currently no Uber or Lyft services in the area, we’re planning on arranging a shuttle service to and from The Orchard and downtown Hood River. As the date gets closer, we’ll be coordinating with local shuttle companies to set up convenient pick-up/drop-off spots to best serve our guests.
