-Hood River is considered the wind surfing capital of the world. There are plenty of local options for rentals and lessons. -River rafting and boat tours available in the summer (Sternwheeler river excursion is great!) -Hikes nearby: Beacon Rock on the Washington side and Mitchell Point about 5 min from downtown Hood River. -Bonneville Hatchery: west of Hood River, free to the public and home to Herman the 10ft long sturgeon. - Our favorite restaurants in Hood River: pFriem Family Brewers, Solstice Pizza, and Love & Hominy.

There are dozens of waterfalls along the gorge that are easily accessible right off the road! I would start off at the Vista House (open Fri-Mon 9am-5pm), it has a lot of history and great views from above. 1. Latourell Falls (0.3 mi) 2. Bridal Veil Falls (0.6 mi) 3. Wahkeena Falls (2.9 mi) 4. Multnomah Falls (0.3 mi or 2.3 to the top) 5. Triple Falls (3.1 mi) 6. Pony Tail Falls (0.8 mi) 7. Upper McCord Creek Falls (0.9 mi) 8. Eagle Creek Trail- can be as long or short as you want, there are dozens of sights on this trail like water falls, tunnels, swimming holes, bridges, and all the views!

Tillamook- Home of the Tillamook Cheese Factory, get the fresh cheese curds and ice cream flight Manzanita- This is where we got our engagement photos taken! Rockaway- beautiful beaches, Pronto Pup (inventor of the corndog), the Old Growth Cedar Preserve, and Cape Falcon Hike (our favorite on the coast), Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad Depoe Bay- Whale watching, Devils Punch Bowl (you can go inside at negative tide) Newport- Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, Oregon coast aquarium, Local Ocean restaurant Yachats- Heceta Light House, Thors Well (ocean sinkhole) , Devil's Churn (ocean gully) Florence- Sea Lion Caves, Sand Dunes (great for four wheeling) Brookings- Samuel H Boardman State Park, Natural Bridges, Secret Beach
