Just a few minutes away from both our church and our reception venue, C-Street has many shops and restaurants to explore. This would be a great place to meander between our ceremony and dinner reception! We recommend Eurasia Coffee & Tea, That Lebanese Place, Cafe Cusco, Van Gogh's Eeterie, Pizza House, Soozeesbees, and Askinosie Chocolate.
We met here on our first date and visited again to take some of our engagement photos! Kingdom serves high quality coffee and has a beautiful, modern aesthetic.
One of our favorite local burger joints. Fun fact: Mason eats a burger every Friday night. It's tradiTIOOOON!
One of our favorite dates was kayaking on Lake Springfield, which is part of the James River. You can rent canoes and kayaks or bring your own! We also took some of our engagement photos here, and we think it shows off some of the natural beauty of the Ozarks.
If you have some extra time while you're here, consider spending a day at Silver Dollar City. This is Missouri's best theme park and is less than an hour away from Springfield. It features rollercoasters, professional musical entertainment, live artisan displays, and wonderful food.
If you're up for a long and beautiful drive through the Ozarks, one of our favorite spots to go is the Pizza Hut in Shell Knob, MO. It is frozen in time with retro Pizza Hut décor, overlooks Table Rock Lake, and includes a walking path down to shore. (Ask Mason about a local hillbilly who rents jet skis real cheap and won't ask questions about where you've been or where you're going. Just bring it back in one piece and you'll be fine!)
The birthplace of Bass Pro Shops and a central attraction of Springfield, this store features a robust shopping outlet, an historic museum, and the state-of-the-art Wonders of Wildlife Aquarium. This is a fun place for people of all ages to explore!
