What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Dress pants and button up shirts/sweaters are also welcome for those who do not have access to/want to wear a full suit. No jeans or sweatpants please.

Is there a wedding block available at any hotels in town?

Answer

Yes. We have wedding blocks at both the Courtyard by Marriott and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, both in Bloomington IN. The booking links can be found by clicking on the travel link at the top of this page.

Is there a shuttle available to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Due to the fact that we have hotel blocks at multiple hotels, we cannot offer a shuttle to and from the venue. That being said, there will be plenty of parking at the venue, and we have confirmed that both Uber and Lyft will drive out to the venue if you do not want to worry about driving your own vehicle.

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00pm EST. We suggest arriving no later than 2:30pm in order to find your seat prior to the start of the ceremony.

What happens after the ceremony ends?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour from 3:30pm-4:30pm. Please enjoy a drink and mingle with other guests while the wedding party takes pictures and prepares for the start of the reception.

Will there be a meal provided at the reception?

Answer

Yes. There will be a buffet style meal served at 5:00pm. The entree options are beef brisket with bbq sauce and marinated portabella mushrooms over brown rice. The mushroom dish is vegan and gluten-free. There will also be macaroni & cheese, green beans, and buttered potatoes as the sides, along with a garden salad and dinner rolls. The buffet will include water, tea, and coffee. Soda and alcohol options will be available at the bar.

What should I do if I have a dietary restriction or preference?

Answer

You can reach out to Adam directly at 812-890-7115 to communicate all dietary needs. There will be a gluten-free and vegan option during dinner, but any other allergies should be communicated to Adam in order to ensure that everyone can enjoy dinner. Adam and Mason will do their best to accommodate dietary needs.

Will I need to have cash on hand at the wedding/reception?

Answer

Yes and No. The meal is provided, and there will be an open bar. That being said, the bartenders will gladly accept tips throughout the night, and there will be a honeymoon fund set up at the reception in case you would like to donate to Adam and Mason's honeymoon.

Will there be assigned seats at the reception?

Answer

Yes. When you enter the barn for the reception, there will be a table with small placards with each guest's name on them. Find your name, and your table number will be on the back of it. We do ask that you sit at your assigned table for dinner, but you are welcome to visit and mingle with guests at other tables, once the meal has ended.

What is the bathroom situation like at the venue?

Answer

There will be 2 restrooms available at the venue, and both are gender-inclusive restrooms that can be used by any of the guests.

Will there be any child-friendly activities at the wedding?

Answer

Yes. During cocktail hour, the owners of our venue, Sycamore Farm, will be bringing a horse and donkey up to the fence that surrounds the property. Guests will be able to pet the animals and feed them as well.

What time will the reception end?

Answer

Due to a Bloomington city ordinance, the music must be turned off at 10:00pm. This is when the alcohol service will end as well, but we have until 11:00pm to vacate the venue.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

If you click on the RSVP link at the top of the page, you can RSVP for each of the wedding events you have been invited to. Please make sure that if you were invited to more than one event, that you RSVP for each event. We ask that you please RSVP by September 30, 2021.
