Come for the mouthwatering falafel and shwarma-seasoned fries. Stay for the life-altering tahini milkshakes. All vegan! Part of Michael Solomonov's Israeli food empire.
Israeli bagels, seasonal babka, and pistachio sticky buns to blow your mind! Another expression of Michael Solomonov's brilliance. One of our favorite breakfast spots.
The BEST spot for breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and to prove it, they won Good Morning America's best breakfast in the nation this year!
The cafe and bakery counterpart to one of our favorite restaurants in Philly, Talula's Garden. Great spot for pastries and coffee. Right next to Washington Square Park, a lovely spot to enjoy them outside.
Right across from Ben and Michael's (groomsman) old medical school frat house, some of the best coffee in the city. No frills, just overpriced city coffee, and good people/dog-watching on Spruce Street.
Solid coffee, great snacks, hits the spot!
Always our #1 choice for date night, a Lebanese restaurant with divinely spiced food. We love sitting at the chef's counter with a front-row seat to watch the fresh pita puffing up in the oven. But on a warm night, nothing beats the garden atmosphere out back. Their brunch is chef's kiss as well!
Pasta paradise a la Marc Vetri, where the menu is ever-changing but always perfect. Martini lovers (not us sadly) swear by the Dirty Pasta Water Martini.
Our favorite margaritas in Philly, which go great with a side of tacos! The fresh corn tortillas will leave you happy and the vibes are extra Gen Z.
Considered among the best restaurants in the country, an Israeli-tasting menu of epic quality. Now with outdoor seating available by walk-in only!
Affectionately known as "IBG," a classic for affordable beers/cocktails and outdoor garden vibes. The site of many post-exam celebrations. Less than two blocks from our hotels!
Former public middle school and current bar, a poetic illustration of the city's priorities. Grab an IPA and take in the best views of the city on their open-air rooftop.
The authoritative Philly dive bar experience. Come for the "special" (Miller High Life + shot for $3.50); stay for the bartenders who will purposefully ignore you all night. Cash only, of course!
Unfortunately arrived in the neighborhood after we left town, but a welcome addition to Center City!
Old school scoop shop serving delicious ice cream in Chinese takeout containers. A short walk from the wedding hotels!
Walk down South 9th Street to find the oldest outdoor market in America. Stop by Isgro Pastries for the best Italian treats in town.
Philadelphia's iconic indoor market. Packed with dozens of vendors, including the famed Beiler’s Doughnuts.
On Saturday mornings, they have an amazing outdoor market that we love! This is on the west side of the city with tons of cute streets, restaurants, and shopping nearby.
Our favorite running/walking/biking trail, winding along the Schuylkill River. You may find blood, sweat, and tears from our marathon training in 2018 still staining the paths.
Old City is a veritable history book. Stroll around and you'll stumble on some of the oldest and most important national historical sites, many of which are now Wawas, just as the Founders intended. The Liberty Bell is housed between the hotels and the reception, right across from the iconic Independence Hall. Pro tip: sneak a peek of the Bell through the windows of the museum instead of buying tickets.
The gorgeous Barnes Foundation grounds would be worth a visit on their own, but inside you'll be surrounded by the works of Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso, and more. The perfect rainy day activity!
A medical history museum unlike any other, full of medical anomalies and antiquities. Some will leave nauseated, others inspired!
Go see where this love began, featuring the site of our most popular date spot: Scott Memorial Library!
