Is Medellin safe?
Answer
Medellín is generally safe for tourists in popular areas like El Poblado, Laureles, and Envigado, which are well-patrolled and cater to visitors with restaurants, hotels, and nightlife. These neighborhoods are considered low-risk for violent crime, but petty crimes like pickpocketing or phone snatching are still concerns, especially in crowded areas like Parque Lleras or public transport hubs. Just like when you travel to any foreign cities take some common-sense precautions including: Don’t draw attention to yourself by wearing flashy jewelry or flaunting valuables (phones etc.), Be careful to not stick your phone outside of car windows as they could be stolen, and just use your common sense while having a great time in this wonderful city.

Will my cell phone work in Medellin?
Answer
Most carriers have international calling and texting plans which can come in handy. However, e-sim cards can also be used during your time in Colombia.

Do I need to know Spanish?
Answer
Spanish, while helpful is not absolutely necessary while in Colombia. That said, we do recommend downloading the Google Translate app just in case.

We have kids, can they attend the wedding?
Answer
We adore your kids, but the wedding festivities will be for guests aged 15 and up. Plus, we thought you might enjoy a night off.
