Petoskey State Park, situated on Little Traverse Bay, is home to 1 mile of beautiful beach along Lake Michigan, two modern campgrounds and trails. Located just 3 miles northeast of Petoskey and 6 miles south of Harbor Springs, the park is a popular destination for those wanting to find Petoskey stones. Whether you’re in Charlevoix or Petoskey or elsewhere on Lake Michigan, it’s not unusual to see people strolling along the shoreline looking for these beautiful natural fossils. Some areas may prohibit the removal of stones. Be sure to research the rules before your quest for the perfect Petoskey stone!

Shopping in Charlevoix
We recommend walking around and shopping downtown Charlevoix. It's located 15 minutes from the hotel with tons of places to shop, grabbed coffee or go to lunch. Downtown Charlevoix nestled next to the marina. Stroll around and stop into some cute bookstores and antique shops or grab an "Up North" souvenir.
