Invitations will be sent out Spring 2026.

How should I RSVP? By mail or online?

Answer

We will be collecting RSVP's and wedding guest information online through our wedding website or by QR code. Instructions will be provided.

What is the best way to get to the hotel for the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will take place in the hotel where we reserved our room block, we have also secured room blocks at a few other local hotels within 2 miles of the venue, so no additional transport will be required for our wedding. Our wedding welcome party location is 15 minutes from The Perry Hotel and shuttle service will be provided. Parking is available on site and ride-share service is available via Uber and Lyft, though there are only a few drivers in the area. Shuttle pick up from The Perry Hotel to Burnt Marshmallow Brewing- 5:15 PM & 5:45 PM Shuttle return to The Perry Hotel 9:30 PM & 10 PM Uber/ lyft is available in the area.

Where should I park for the ceremony?

Answer

The Perry Hotel offers ample complimentary parking for wedding guests.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be located outdoors in the Rose Garden Veranda. The reception take place under a tent. If inclement weather occurs the ceremony and reception will be moved inside.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Room blocks are available at the Perry Hotel, The Bayview Inn, The AmericInn by Wyndham, and the Hampton Inn. Please see the travel page for more details. We recommend booking early to ensure a discounted room within the block. Each hotel reservation can be made by phone by mentioning the Flynn- Zakovich wedding. Use link on the Travel page for the Hampton in room block.

Question

What should I do if I don't make it into the room block?

Answer

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations on our travel page.

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

The Traverse City Airport and the Pellston Regional airport are the closest nearby airports. Please see the travel page for further information. Another option is to fly into Detroit/ Grand Rapids and rent a car if you plan on extending your stay.

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is formal. Formal attire is a polished but not as strict as black-tie, balancing elegant and relaxed styles. For women, this typically means midi-length dress, or floor length dresses. For men, a suit and tie is the standard (tuxedo not required).

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

In early September, Petoskey experiences warm days with average high temperatures around 74 degrees and cooler nights with average lows around 50 degrees. The weather is generally pleasant. We recommend a light wrap to cover bare shoulders and sunglasses for the outdoor ceremony. In case of rain the reception will be moved inside.

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

If a plus one has been given it will be listed on the RSVP section of our wedding guest. Plus one will be listed as "John Doe and guest." From there wedding guest information may be filled out.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

We plan on having an entree choice that's vegetarian, vegan, gluten and nut free to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions. Our cocktail hour appetizers will also all be clearly marked if they are allergy friendly. If you have additional restrictions that go beyond what we've listed here, please let us know in the designated section of your digital RSVP.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Our welcome party will have an open bar and serve light fare. The open bar will remain open for the duration of our rented space from 6:00-9pm. After that, we recommend bringing cash or card for any additional drinks beyond 9pm. On our wedding day, there will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 8875 Rusdon Lane, Saint Louis, MO 63126. We are also travelling for our wedding so please do not bring any physical gifts on wedding day. A wedding card box will be available at our reception.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 15-20 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to park or walk to the ceremony space and find a seat.

Question

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

Our reception will end around 11pm, after which there will be an after-party at the Noggins Pub located in the basement of the Perry Hotel. There will be a cash bar and complementary late-night bites.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

A 90-minute cocktail hour will take place in the Rose Garden Veranda between the ceremony and reception where you can enjoy cocktails and small bites.
