Castle & Key Distillery

Castle & Key Distillery

4445 McCracken Pike, Frankfort, KY 40601

A personal favorite - originally built in 1887, this distillery was left abandoned after it shut down due to prohibition. In 2014, two Lexington attorneys bought the site and began a painstaking restoration that resulted in this gorgeous property. With a European-inspired castle, sunken garden, botanical walking trail, natural springs, and fabulous cocktails, this place is Kentucky at its finest.

Lexington Distillery District

Check out The Burl (arcade bar/live music venue), Battle Axes (axe throwing), Barrel House Distillery, Crank and Boom (craft ice cream), Wise Bird (cider brewery), Fusion Brewing, Relic (eclectic antiques/vintage house wears), Brevede (coffee shop), and Goodfellas (Lexington's best pizza - NY style), all located in the Distillery District. Be sure to give this place a visit!
