We met during lunch period at Lafayette High School in the fall of 2012, our junior year. I was a new transfer student and he was the cute guy across the lunch table. After a year of friendship, we found that we both were interested in something deeper and started dating in the fall of 2013. After going our separate ways for our freshman year of college, I found myself the transfer student once again as something told me I should return to Lexington to attend UK. It eventually became pretty obvious that that something was Alex and we found ourselves together again. Seven years, four degrees, a year of long distance, two cats, and a whole lot of karaoke duets later, here we are!

On the proclaimed "Most Beautiful Beach in the World" in Turks and Caicos, Alex arranged for a private beach dinner for the family. While on a walk by the water, Alex got down on one knee and I answered the question I'd known the answer to since I was 17 years old. With a hidden photographer to capture the whole thing, it was the most special night of our lives - so far! We cannot wait to celebrate this new season of life with all of you.
