Please respond by using the RSVP tab on this website by May 15, 2023! Since most of our guests are traveling in from out of town, the earlier you can RSVP the better. We can't wait to celebrate with you :)
We have decided to make the ceremony and reception children-free, so we hope you take the opportunity to have a night off and celebrate with us! We recognize that families may be traveling from out of town, so please reach out if you need help solidifying a babysitter for our event. We would be happy to connect you to someone local, so you can enjoy the night out!
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate anyone other than who is listed on your invitation. This includes little ones! If your invitation says "and guest", then absolutely feel free to bring a date. If not, we want to celebrate with just you!
Although they have different names, both the ceremony and the reception are located within the same building for an easy, stress-free evening!
Cocktail attire: Think cocktail dresses, midi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, or jackets and slacks! But feel free to get as fancy as you'd like (just no white, ivory, or cream dresses please!)
The bridal party will be in shades of green (sage, eucalyptus, emerald) and black!
Please arrive at the Rooftop at Providence G between 4:00-4:30PM.
Because of how close everything is to one another, the easiest way to get around downtown Providence is to walk! We are encouraging all of our guests to coordinate their own transportation to and from the hotels should they choose to drive to the venue.
A combination of both! We plan to hold the ceremony outdoor on the Rooftop as Rhode Island is beautiful this time of year, but this will be weather dependent. Cocktail hour will be outside on the rooftop as well. Dinner and dancing will be inside the Ballroom, but you are welcome to take a walk outside for some fresh air!
We will be having an unplugged ceremony and encourage you to be fully present and not take any pictures while we say "I do"! Our photographer is amazing and will take all the photos we need. She will be providing us with link of all pictures taken from the night and we are happy to share it with everyone. After our ceremony, you are more than welcome to take any pictures during the cocktail hour and reception!
Of course! We want to make sure everyone has something delicious to eat, so we will be offering a beef, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian option. If you have additional food restrictions, please let us know so our caterer can make an accommodation for you. You can send us an email at marryinghermann@gmail.com!
During cocktail hour, we will be offering a signature cocktail and a signature liquor for everyone to enjoy! If you’d like something different, there will be a cash bar option. When we get to the reception, it’s time to party!! An open bar will be provided with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for our guests' enjoyment!
Absolutely- guests are invited to sing a popular Swedish drinking song, Halen Gar, and have a shot of Aquavit with the bride and groom! To familiarize yourself with the tune, check out this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyojRZxNW2I But don't worry, we will give you a cheat sheet to follow along with at the wedding!
We are registered at Zola and Amazon! Click on our "registry tab" to check out both registries! All gifts purchased can be shipped directly to us so you don't have to worry about gift wrapping and hauling bulky packages to any wedding events.
