Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 31, 2023.

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Carl's parents, Carol and Dan Scott, have graciously allowed us to have our wedding on their property. They own and operate a winery, Lariana Cellars, which takes up the top portion of their property, and the remaining lower portion they ran as a campground called Shady Lagoon up until 2021. The ceremony and reception will take place on that lower portion. The ceremony will take place under a big willow tree and the reception will be covered by a large tent on the beach. The address is 8310 2nd Avenue, Osoyoos BC. Fun fact, the US border is directly across the street from their house!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to the RSVP page for this information.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love if you used this wedding as an excuse to get all dolled up, so we are asking guests to dress in semi-formal/beach-attire. However, this wedding is on a beach in Osoyoos, so please dress comfortably. We define semi-formal/beach-attire as anything from tuxes and gowns to short sleeve tops and sundresses. Please note that the reception will be on a gravel/sandy area, so stilettos are not recommended! The bridesmaids will be wearing sage/olive green, but you are welcome to wear the same colour :)

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is plenty of parking along 2nd Avenue.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

June weather can be a bit unpredictable. Average high in June is 26°C and average low is 12°C. Keeping that in mind, there was a heat wave in 2021 where we had a week above 40°C at the end of June. We could also see a thunderstorm, but we have a tent so no worries there!

Question

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

We suggest not wearing stiletto heels... The wedding will be on grassy/dirt/sandy areas, so chunky heels, sandals, or flats are a good idea. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking ankles!

Question

Is it okay to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We want to avoid people's arms and iPhones blocking the photographer's shot! We would love for you to take photos and videos during the rest of the wedding!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Definitely! Please respond on the RSVP food sensitivity section with your food allergy.

Question
