Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately no, due to limitations of the event space capacity we are not able to include children. If you have kids hopefully you will be able to make arrangements for them and be able to join us.

Question

Since the ceremony and reception are on the mountain, how do guests get there?

Answer

At the base of the mountain is the Gondola (across from Zephyr mountain lodge). Guests will load into this and be transported up the mountain. Where you get off the gondola is *not* the location of the wedding/reception. Vans/busses will transport you from this area to Lunch Rock, which is the venue for the wedding/reception. You need to be at the Gondola no later than 4:15pm to start being transported up the mountain for the 5pm ceremony.

Description of terms used

Answer

Base area: This refers to the main area at the base of Winter Park Resort, where the Zephyr Mountain Lodge and Fraser Crossing/Founders Pointe condos are located, and where the Gondola lift is located. Gondola lift: This is the lift you take from the base area. It is located directly across from the Zephyr Mountain Lodge. Lunch Rock: This is the venue where both the wedding and reception will take place. It is located at the top of Mary Jane Mountain, and is only accessible by van/bus which will pick you up from the area at the top of the Gondola lift.

Is there parking available at the base of the mountain if I am not staying at one of the condos located there?

Answer

Yes, there are public parking lots available for you to use. If you use these on the day of the ceremony, you will need to walk from the parking lot to the Gondola lift.

Question

How do we get back down the mountain at the end of the reception?

Answer

The vans/busses that transported you from Sunspot/top of the Gondola to Lunch Rock will take you the entire way back down to the base of the mountain. They will run at certain intervals beginning after dinner. The Gondola will not be open to take you back down to the base area at that time. The vans/busses will drop guests off at Zephyr Mountain Lodge and Fraser Crossing/Founders Pointe condo buildings as well as the Vintage Hotel. If you are staying somewhere other than those locations, you will need to arrange your own transportation back to your lodging. There are parking garages/lots located at the base area of the mountain.
