Nina & Mark met freshman year at Boston University while waiting for friends outside their dorm. Little did they know that first "Hello" on a couple of park benches would set both of their lives on the most wonderful paths. After going their separate ways, these paths continued to cross and quickly led to a first date for Italian food in the North End. Movies, Food, Family, all the first date topics were covered and built an instant connection. Soon after, Nina & Mark were official. Dating through college & long distance summers they went out for more Italian food, attended Red Sox games, & introduced each other to family over Holiday trips to hometowns. The whole time building on that first Hello, slowly drawing their paths together. Fast forward to 2020 and Mark had moved to Maine for his first post-college job after graduating early from BU. The pandemic followed shortly after and moved Nina's final semester at BU online. Nina quickly joined Mark in Maine & the two hunkered down together as the world shut down. With no clear end in sight and a now remote job, Mark moved to Oakley, Utah to live at his parents' cabin. Nina did the same, moving home to Long Beach, New York to spend time with her family. When travel restrictions eased, Nina made a trip to visit Mark insuring their paths never diverged for too long. A short trip to Utah turned into a permanent stay when Nina found the Kimball Art Center and her first post-college job, directing art classes and summer camps. The two fell in love with Utah & all it has had to offer. Moving to Salt Lake City in 2022, they continued building a life together filled with hiking, snowboarding, fishing, road trips, camping, new friends, a lot of art & their dog, Millie. Their paths haven't diverged since. Fast forward again to 2025, Mark proposed to Nina on the beach in his hometown of Hermosa Beach, California on a quiet, overcast morning. Nina & Mark are beyond excited to celebrate with their guests from near & far in the city they call home as they officially strike out on a new path together.
