Kraków

Kraków

Kraków, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland

Kraków is by far the most beautiful and fascinating city in Poland! The attraction is not just the splendid architecture but also the unique former Jewish district, both bringing the rich history of the city into the present. However old and beautiful it is, Krakow is not limited to its monuments and museums. Thanks to an amazing density and variety of bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants, Krakow sparkles with life. Everyone should see Krakow with their own eyes! Mark spent a lot of time there and Marlena lived there for almost six years so we can definitely share our recommendations! Food & drink especially ;)

Wieliczka Salt Mine

Wieliczka Salt Mine

Wieliczka, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland

The Wieliczka Salt Mine transport you to a mysterious world of salt beneath the earth's surface. The mine was worked continuously from the 13th century until the late 20th century, constituting one of the earliest and most important European industrial operations. There are hundreds of kilometres of galleries with underground chapels, works of art and statues carved in salt, making for a fascinating journey into the past. The Wieliczka Salt Mine was inscribed in the very first UNESCO World Heritage List in 1978, along with the nearby Historical Centre of Kraków and just 10 other sites from around the world.

Zakopane

Zakopane

Zakopane is a town in southern Poland at the base of the Tatra Mountains. While known for its ski resorts, Zakopane has many great activities to offer during the summer months. You can also take a funicular to the top of Gubałówka mountain which offers breathtaking views and delicious hot wine/beer. Zakopane has a strong representation of the Polish Gorals, their mountain culture is shared with visitors through amazing food, unique clothing and relaxed lifestyle.

Warsaw

Warsaw, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland

Warsaw is Poland's capital and biggest city. It's huge, famous, and important…but not particularly romantic. If you're looking for Old World quaintness, head for Kraków. But if you want to experience a truly 21st-century city, Warsaw's your place. Stroll down revitalized boulevards that evoke the city's glory days, pausing at an outdoor café to sip coffee and nibble at a pączek (jelly doughnut). Drop by a leafy park for an al fresco Chopin concert, packed with patriotic Poles. Commune with the soul of Poland at the city’s many state-of-the-art museums. If you picture a dreary metropolis, think again. Warsaw is full of surprises.

Berlin

Berlin, Germany

No tour of Germany is complete without a look at its historic and reunited capital. A city of leafy boulevards, grand Neoclassical buildings, world-class art, and glitzy shopping arcades, it's vibrant with youth, energy, and an anything-goes-and-anything's-possible buzz. As you walk over what was the Wall and through the well-patched Brandenburg Gate, it's clear that history is not contained in some book; it's an exciting story in which we play a part. In Berlin, the fine line between history and current events is excitingly blurry. Visitors find the city captivating, lively, fun-loving - and easy on the budget. Explore the fun and funky neighborhoods in the former East, packed with creative eateries and boutiques. Visit the city's world-class museums, then pedal along the Spree riverfront before sitting down to nurse a stein of brew or dive into a cheap Currywurst. You can choose to fly to Berlin or go there after the wedding, as it is only a 2,5-hour drive from Szprotawa.
