Eklutna Lake
Visit where Mark proposed!! You can do it all at Eklutna Lake! Whether you’re into biking, kayaking, hiking, or even camping, this spot has it all. It’s located about 22 miles from Anchorage and is the perfect place to unplug. There’s no cell service up there, but you won’t miss it for a second because you’ll be surrounded by a crystal-blue lake and mountains in every direction.
Matanuska Glacier Hike
Matanuska Glacier is one of the many glaciers in Alaska that you can walk on! It is about 2 hours northeast of Anchorage. A one-of-a-kind experience!
Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
The conservation center offers several unique experiences to learn about Alaska’s wildlife. It is just past Girdwood and about an hour away from Anchorage.
Alyeska Aerial Tram
"It only takes a seven-minute scenic ride from Alyeska Resort into a different world at the top of Mt. Alyeska. Reaching an elevation of 2300 feet, you will be struck by your bird’s eye view of the Turnagain Arm, a new perspective on seven “hanging” glaciers contrasting with emerald green mountainsides and direct peeks at the endless peaks of the Chugach Mountain range."
