Things To Do

A few of our favorite spots around Chicago!
Roanoke Restaurant

Roanoke Restaurant

135 West Madison Street, Chicago, IL 60602

Roanoke is attached to the hotel but it's not your standard hotel restaurant fare, so if you're looking for a bite to eat nearby this is a great option!

SUSHI DOKKU [Booze Box Lounge]

SUSHI DOKKU [Booze Box Lounge]

823 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60607

Our favorite sushi spot! Reservations recommended, or if you're lucky you might be able to snag a spot at the bar.

Pilsen Yards

Pilsen Yards

1163 West 18th Street, Chicago, IL 60608

Great spot for a casual bite to eat, and they have an all-weather patio open year round. If you go during the day or early evening 18th Street is a great area to walk around and browse the shops, but most of them close around 5 or 6pm.

Kinzie Chophouse

Kinzie Chophouse

400 North Wells Street, Chicago, IL 60654

One of our favorite steakhouses if you're looking to splurge! It's also one of the only woman-owned independent steakhouses in Chicago.

Fiya

Fiya

5419 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60640

Fiya serves a blend of Middle Eastern cuisines. It's best to order a variety of dishes and share them. Their menu changes but the hummus is always a win. They have a super cozy patio in case we get a lucky warm streak in November.

Bavette's Bar & Boeuf

Bavette's Bar & Boeuf

218 West Kinzie Street, Chicago, IL 60654

Also a great steakhouse, but we go for the sides. You'll definitely need a reservation here.

Midwest Coast Brewing Company

Midwest Coast Brewing Company

2137 W Walnut St., Chicago, IL 60612

Great beers, family and dog friendly, and super nice brand new all-weather rooftop.

Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA)

Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA)

220 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611

Their exhibits are constantly rotating so be sure to check their website to see what will be running while you're in town. They are also known to have one of the best gift shops, with a focus on a on independent artists, many of which are Chicago based.

Art on The Mart

Art on The Mart

222 West Merchandise Mart Plaza, Chicago, IL 60654

The fall season (September 12 – November 20) will debut a new work by Chicago-based artist Brendan Fernandes that will explore the idea of decolonizing architecture across the Western world through the projection of “new” doorways and windows onto the façade of the building. This will be accompanied by a house music soundscape, turning the Riverwalk into a space to gather and dance. Projections take place nightly between 7:30 and 8:00pm. They are best viewed on the Chicago Riverwalk Jetty between Wells and Franklin Street.
