Travel

We are so excited that you're traveling to celebrate with us in Washington, DC! Here's some helpful information to make your trip as smooth as possible.

Hotel

The Mayflower Hotel

1127 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20036

We've secured a room block for our wedding guests at The Mayflower in Downtown DC, which is also where our wedding ceremony and reception will take place. It's a historic, iconic DC hotel that's centrally located within walking distance of many DC landmarks. Check back in October 2026 to reserve your room at a discounted rate of $209/night + a 15% city tax. More information will be provided later on how to access this rate.

Travel Note

Travel Note

If you’re flying or taking the train, please consider arriving the day before the wedding (Friday, October 8) to allow for any unexpected delays. We'd love for you to arrive stress-free and would hate for you to miss any of the celebration.

Flight

Washington National Airport (DCA)

There are 3 major airports that you can use when flying into DC, but DCA is the closest and most accessible one. Located just across the Potomac, DCA is only a 15-minute drive from the venue. We highly recommend flying into DCA as this will be the easiest way to get to the venue, and you will avoid long travel times and higher Uber fares associated with the other airports.

Flight

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

If DCA is not as accessible from your airport, you can fly into IAD in Northern Virginia (about 27 miles west of the city). Ubers can cost $70-80+ and take about an hour to get downtown during rush hour, so please factor that in when you assess flight prices.

Flight

Baltimore / Washington International Airport (BWI)

BWI is about 35 miles from DC and could be a good option for Southwest flyers! Please factor in about 60-90 minutes of travel time and about $80-100 of Uber fares, one way.

Train

Washington Union Station

AMTRAK is a great way to travel for our guests coming from New Jersey! Washington Union Station is about 2 miles from the Mayflower Hotel. You can take a 15-minute Uber, or hop on the Metro (Red line) to the Farragut North stop.

Travel Note

Parking

Like any major city, parking in DC can be quite expensive. Please note that parking at the hotel is valet only and will cost $40 for the day of the event, or $69/night for overnight parking. If you prefer not to use the hotel's valet services, there are several self-parking garages within a short walk of the Mayflower that may offer lower rates. We recommend checking nearby garages, or services like SpotHero, in advance to find the option that works best for you.
