We’re Getting Married

Katie's Version: We met during the fall of 2018 at a local bar named 'Later Later' in El Paso, TX. We exchanged numbers and I proceeded to not text Mario back. We proceeded to bump into one another on countless occasions over the next six months until Mario was fed up with my antics of avoiding him during daylight hours and asked me on a date. The rest was history. Versión de Katie: Nos conocimos en el otoño del 2018 en un bar local llamado "Later Later" en El Paso, TX. Esa noche intercambiamos números y Mario me mando un mensaje de texto al cual no respondi. Durante los siguientes 6 meses nos topamos en muchas ocasiones hasta que Mario, harto de mis travesuras de evitarlo durante las horas del día, me invito a nuestra primera cita. El resto es historia. Mario's Version: It was a late and cold October 2018 night that happened to coincide with the senator election results for Texas. My brother was in town, and he told me that we should grab some drinks downtown to meet some of his friends. I didn’t want to go since it was midweek but he ended up convincing me (not too hard to do apparently). They do say that the best nights of your life happen when you least expect them to… Erik and I stumbled into a bar called Later, Later where we proceeded to immediately order some shots. That is when KT sneak attacked me and we started talking. She was part of the group of friends my brother had invited (nice wingman move by him for once). After that night we didn’t really talk much, but for the next 6 months, we kept “randomly” running into each other at bars (I think she was spying on me). Finally one night I decided that I’d had enough and asked KT to come on a date with me… And the rest is history. We have now been together for 4 years and our family has grown to 4 with our two dogs, Tulu and Tiki. While it is not ideal that she is a Franklin Cougar, we have learned to look past that and build an incredible relationship together. I truly feel like I am the luckiest man in the world, and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for us. We are very excited to have you all celebrate this moment with us, and thank you for being such a great part of our lives! Versión de Mario: Era una noche fría de Octubre del 2018 que coincidia con los resultados de las elecciones del senador para Texas. Mi hermano Erik estaba en la ciudad y me invito a hecharnos unas cervezas en el centro porque algunos de sus amigos lo esperaban ahí. Realmente no quería ir por que era mitad de semana, pero terminó convenciéndome de que vaya con el (aparentemente no es demasiado difícil de hacer). Dicen que las mejores noches de tu vida suceden cuando menos lo esperas… Erik y yo llegamos bien ambientados al bar llamado "Later Later" en donde pedimos unos shots. Eso fue cuando KT me ataco de sorpresa y comenzamos a tener una conversación. Ella era parte del grupo de amigos que mi hermano había invitado (al fin se hizo un buen companero de ligue). Por 6 meses no platicamos mucho pero nos seguiamos topando en los bares (yo creo que tenia espias en todo El Paso). Al fin llego el dia donde le pedi salir conmigo y de ahi comenzo nuestra relacion! Hemos estado juntos 4 años y nuestra familia ha crecido a 4 con nuestras dos perras, Tulu y Tiki. No es ideal que ella sea una Franklin Cougar, pero hemos aprendido a mirar más allá de eso y construir juntos una relación increíble. Realmente siento que soy el hombre más afortunado del mundo y no puedo esperar a ver lo que la vida nos tiene reservado. Estamos muy emocionados de tenerlos celebrando este momento con nosotros y gracias por ser una gran parte de nuestras vidas!
