Yes! This is a whole family affair. We do ask that parents have a plan to minimize any potential ceremony disruptions. There's plenty of room to step away and toddle around with little ones who might be bored by our declaration of love. If you are planning to bring your babe, let us know! We'll add them to the RSVP manually.
We love dogs, but please keep your dog at home! Pepper is particular about which four-legged friends she's willing to have around, and she's already chosen her pack for the weekend.
If you weren't originally given a plus one but have a loved one you'd like to bring, please reach out to us! As we get a sense of attendee numbers and life changes in our community we will try to adjust accordingly.
For those choosing to camp at Loloma, we will have showers, toilets (both indoor and porta-potty), and some device charging. Showers will be limited and shared. Common areas and some of the indoor accommodations can offer up a place to charge a device. We're going to make do! If you are camping, we would recommend bringing a portable charger just to minimize having to hunt down an outlet. You may also elect to bring a cooler for any snacks you want on hand (more on that later). There is a shared fridge in the kitchen that is accessible to all.
We will be providing dinner Friday night, dinner Saturday night, and some grab-and-go style breakfast items for Saturday and Sunday morning. We will have coffee, wine, beer, and bubbly water/non alcoholic beverages available throughout the weekend. You are welcome to bring additional snacks or drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) that you might want to easily have on hand! There is an industrial fridge on property that will likely be stuffed to the gills, so if you are able to bring a cooler please do! That way we can reserve fridge space for out of town guests.
Everyone cross your fingers for beautiful weather! September in McKenzie Bridge is generally mild and pleasant with warm days and cool nights. Daily highs typically peak around low to mid 70s, and lows are in the mid to high 40s. That said, we could run into any number of sunny spells, cold fronts, or downpours. Our venue is outside with limited indoor space (we will have a tent and some covered buildings). Please pack accordingly. We recommend bringing a puffy jacket for nighttime tempts. Definitely pack your rain gear! The property is mostly grass with some gravel and paved trails, so you may want shoes that can accommodate potential wet weather.
The main lodge and reception area is very close to parking. Our ceremony site is a roughly 10 minute walk down a paved path to the river. It is on the steeper side, but we have the ability to drive anyone down who may not be able to make the walk. Expect grass, gravel, and minimal pavement. If you have any specific concerns, don't hesitate to reach out!
