Our story dates back to Summer 2019 when Mikey was invited to a 22nd Birthday celebration at Marina’s house. Though we briefly met that night, Mikey had found himself in the famous “Lombardi Man Cave” chatting with Marina’s father, Chuck, for the duration of the event. In turn, this resulted in a photograph of us three without realizing the foreshadowing it had just created. Throughout the winter season, we were both invited to nights out in Morristown and played recreational dodgeball on the same team which solidified our friendship. The fun was put to a halt once COVID had trapped the world in their homes. When Summer 2020 rolled around, we both rented houses with our friends in Jersey’s finest shore towns: Manasquan and Belmar. In making the best of the global shut down, our friendship circles began to intersect. The fireworks began when we started to develop our friendship on a deeper level when we realized how much we had in common, one of those commonalities being the fact that we were both students at Montclair State University. We realized our paths had crossed before when we discovered we both lived on the same dorm floor at MSU for the 2015-16 school year. The similarities, coincidences, and mutual interests continued to accumulate for us, the pitcher/catcher duo and so did the love we had for each other. On August 15th, Mikey asked Marina to be his girlfriend and the rest was history. Our love for one another and the magic we have found in each other still continues to strengthen and grow each and every day. In a blink of an eye, 3 years of dating had passed when Mikey got on one knee in the area where it all began, the Jersey Shore. They say never fall in love at the Jersey Shore, but some rules are just made to be broken. ♡ God bless our incredible family and friends for your unconditional love and all the unwavering support you have given us. We cannot wait to celebrate our love and dance the night away with everyone we hold near and dear to our hearts. Our Big Greek/Italian Wedding can’t come sooner! With love, M & M
