Theresa is Maria's older, cooler, prettier, wiser sister. They share a loved of Disney movies, pastelitos de guayaba and trying to out-do each other's Christmas gifts. Theresa also takes credit for getting Maria in to running for enjoyment.

Alyce and Maria met at Texas A&M University. They were on the same scavenger hunt team during orientation. They, Shawn and Jenny were roommates from 2009-graduation. Alyce moved to the Pacific Northwest after college, but they've stayed close friends.

Erin Kaiser

Erin and Maria met at Notre Dame High School. They became fast friends who did theater and dance class together, and spent many summer days at Erin's grandma's pool, or Teresa Engert's house goofing off.

Jenny Lam

"Jennay" and Maria met at Texas A&M University through Alyce and Shawn, who were all roommates for a couple years. After graduation, Jenny and Maria moved out together. Since then, they've both been in or near Houston, and keep in close touch. They share many memories of skimboarding, Vietnamese coffees, Rodeo Cookoffs, and late nights on The Strand.

Maria met Mallorie during college, when they both lived in Galveston. They were really quick friends through their common love for horror films, theater, Halloween, and animals! Though they're far apart now, they find ways to keep those hobbies alive together and visit much as they can.

Teresa and Maria met at Notre Dame High School, where they were in a tight-knit trio with Erin. They got in to plenty of mischievous adventures, buying candy at Ben Franklin and getting lost on the way to dance class, going to "taco church", eating extra tall McDonald's ice creams, polishing off whole cucumbers with Italian dressing, and mostly just finding other ways to maintain their "womanly bodies"! Now they're friends forever.

Tonya Wilds

Tonya and Maria have been friends for what seems like forever. They were 5yrs old when Maria moved to her grandparent's neighborhood. Though they are as different as hot and cold, they've always loved each other. As kids it was trick-or-treating, riding bikes(which they pretended were horses) down the hill, arguing about which Barbie character they got to be, and lots of sleep overs. That grew in to horseback riding, Tonya's Halloween bonfires, Hansen Brothers and country CDs, and sharing secrets about boys. They're grown, and live far from each other now, but they'll always be like family.

Torie Cunningham

Torie is Blake's best friend's wife. She and Maria met on St. Patrick's Day, the first time Blake asked Maria out. Who knew they'd be life long friends. Great times have been spent in Port O'Connor, at the Andrew's pool, playing beer pong and flip cup. Now, the boys have entered them in to a baby pact, so I guess they're bonded for life!

Shawn Connor

Shawn and Maria met during Undergrad at Texas A&M Galveston. They rented a house with Alyce and Jenny, throwing out-of-this-world parties, studying all night, skimboarding on the beach, and dancing in the downtown clubs. Now they frequently take river or road trips together, and visit each other in San Antonio and Houston a few times a year. Drunk cooking is their favorite hobby, you should check out their stuff.
