Please RSVP by December 1st, 2019. If you are wanting to rent a cabin, you'll want to do so as soon as you can to make sure that you can find a place within the same area, or nearby. See our "Travel" page for some helpful suggestions.
Absolutely! If you are interested in renting a cabin and would like to share the fun (and the costs) with others, please let us know and we will try and suggest folk who we think you would really like and get along with! We're thinking of cabins sort of like tables at a traditional wedding, and we want you to get to know someone fun who you might have a lot in common with! Just emails us, and we'll do the rest! There are many cabins within walking or a short (5-10 minute) drive from where we are staying. Because of availability, we'd strongly encourage you to try and book your cabin as soon as you can.
Our hope is that you will join us for a beautiful weekend in the majestic foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. We see this as a chance for our friends and families to not only join us for our celebration, but also to get to know each other, and have a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether its taking a day hike, playing cards and board games, sitting on the deck, or roasting marshmallows and telling stories by the fire, we hope that you can enjoy the quiet tranquility of the mountains and meet the other people, like you, who are most meaningful in our lives.
No, transportation will be on your own. If you are coming in from out of town, we would encourage you to either rent a car at the Atlanta Airport, or if you are interested in car pooling, let us know and we can try and arrange for you to ride with someone to the mountains.
For our friends who are staying within the Coosawatee River Resort (or you have rented a cabin through VRBO near ours), we'd ask that you park at your cabin and walk or carpool to the Laurel Waters cabin. Space is a little limited, so we are hoping you can help us by minimizing the number of cars. If you are not staying in a cabin in the community, you will need to give us the name of your driver so that we can provide the gate guard with a list of folk attending. The best place to park is at the Laural Waters cabin, which is right next to where we will have our ceremony, at the Koala River Lodge. Our "Schedule" page has all the information you need for directions.
If you are not staying in a nearby cabin, in walking or short driving distance, we'd ask that you arrive around 2:30 PM on Saturday. Please be mindful that if you are not staying in a cabin, you will need to go through the gate house to the community and you might want to plan for a little extra time.
Yes, we would love for your young ones to share in the beauty of the mountains! That said, it may not be the most ideal place for infants, toddlers, or very young children. There will be a lot of people and lot of activities, and hopefully a lot of adults who are having fun and relaxing.
